The Square Brass Cold Block threads onto a standard beer shank and is meant for holding a glycol line. It works by pinning the glycol line between two pieces. Ideally this is done to keep your shank nice and cold reducing foam in your beer. The block is constructed from brass due to it's low thermal conductivity rating.
Please note that two cold blocks are required to hold a glycol line properly.
