This is a thermowell and duotight bulkhead that is meant to be used with FermZilla Conical Fermenters. The thermowell portion is made out of stainless steel with the duotight bulkhead being made out of food grade plastic.
Although it is mainly designed for use with FermZillas it can be used with other fermenter lids as well. Having the thermowell going right through the middle of the core of your vessel means that you get far more accurate readings.
The thermowell can be pushed through a drilled stopper as an alternative to using the included bulkhead. It is recommended that a stopper with a 1/4" to 5/16" drilled hole is used.
The included bulkhead is meant to be used with 5/16" OD (8mm) Duotight compatible hardware.
