WLP815 - Belgian Lager Yeast
Belgium is famous for its ale stains, each having a character of its own. But when it comes to brewing lagers, Belgium also has something interesting to offer, such as WLP812 Belgian Lager Yeast.
Sourced from an old commercial brewery in West Belgium that is famous for its lager beers, this strain tends to produce really clean and well-fermented beers without any by-products.
WLP815 is an excellent choice for making virtually all types of lager beers, from the most neutral Pilsners to heavy malt-forward Bocks.
Belgian Lager YeastWLP815 Belgian Lager Yeast is a very clean fermenter with medium attenuation, medium flocculation, and medium alcohol tolerance. It tends to produce really balanced and neutral beers in terms of flavour, and gives enough space for specialty malts to shine when used in the grain bill, which is an excellent trait when brewing malty Bocks, Doppelbocks, Marzen or Octoberfest beers. On the other hand, WLP815 also leaves enough space in the palate for hop flavours and aromas to shine, so you will definitely be happy with hoppy lagers fermented by this yeast. An all-round versatile lager strain that can be used in various beers with excellent results.
