Getting a complex and layered character of heavy toast French oak in your beers doesn’t necessarily require an actual French oak barrel.
With the French Heavy Toast Oak Chips you can get the desired barrel aged character without having to source a barrel, which is typically not suited for homebrewing volumes. Just put the chips in a muslin bag or soak them in whiskey or any other strong spirit, and add them to your secondary fermenter.
The complex wood barrel character will become evident in a matter of days, in contrast to an actual barrel, which may require months of maturation for achieving the same result.
