Classified as Saccharomyces cerevisiae, a top-fermenting yeast for producing Ales. It is considered a quick start yeast with a robust fermentation, which can be completed in 4 days above 17°C.

Munich Classic has a sufficient amount of carbohydrates and unsaturated fatty acids to reach active growth. Therefore it is not necessary to aerate the wort.
