|Description:||Roasted to a higher degree than most malts, Caramel 60 delivers a very pleasant golden colour, fuller body and better foam stability.
Flavour-wise, this malt can be described by notes of burnt sugar, raisins, and hints of roasted marshmallow.
When used in rates up to 3% of the total grain bill, Caramel 60 can be used for colour and body adjustment in light Pilsners and Heffeweizens.
When the rates are increased to 5-15% of the grist, the dark caramel flavour and colour become more evident, which can be a desired trait in darker beer styles such as Doppelbock, October Beer, Scotch Ale, Porter, and many others.
