  • $2.29

A German 2-row malt kilned for lager style beer. The flavour is a bit bready with hints of caramel and honey. Munich is commonly used for dark and festive beers.

Description: Munich Malt II by Weyermann is an excellent choice for brewing authentic Munich-style lagers or other darker beer styles.

Produced from high quality German 2-row barley, the type II Munich malt is usually kilned to a higher degree, which results in a darker colour and more pronounced bready flavour if compared to the type I version.

It has high diastatic power, so the malt can be used as a base malt up to 100% of the total grain bill, or with specialty malts and adjuncts for expanding the flavour profile of the beer.

Munich Malt II is an excellent choice for brewing Bocks, Dark Lagers, Stouts, Porters, Brown Ales, October Beers, and other darker beer styles where a pronounced malty flavour is required.
