This Premium Series Voss Kveik Ale yeast from Lallemand is a traditional Norwegian dried yeast used in making Norwegian farmhouse ales. The LalBrew Voss strain has been maintained using tradition methods since the 1980s and is now available for the wider brewing community. It's flavour profile is very consistent across the entire temperature range, providing a neutral character with subtle fruity notes of orange and citrus.

It is a strain of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, and has been specially selected for its unique origins and long history of making Norwegian farmhouse ales, and fast fermented neutral ales. Voss Kveik Ale Yeast is best used at a fermentation temperature range between 25-40°C. Fermentation can be completed in 2 days depending on the recipe and conditions.
