Widely used in commercial breweries across North America, Five Star PBW is a buffered alkaline detergent that is a far better substitute for caustic soda cleaners. PBW is extremely effective in removing protein soils found on brew kettles, fermenters, conditioning tanks, and filters thanks to being formulated as a C.I.P. cleaner. Thanks to the formulation of buffers and mild alkalis, it is safe on both skin and soft materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, and plastics. Will not damage rubber gaskets, soft metals, or your skin.
Can effectively clean items that can't be reached with a brush or sponge, and is strong enough to remove thick, difficult, caked-on organic soils. Environmentally friendly, biodegradable, and will not harm septic systems.
Please Note: This product is recommended for commercial use only Usage Directions:
Use 1 to 2 ounces per gallon for cleaning kettles
Use 3/4 ounce per gallon for fermenters, kegs, tanks, and other equipment
Soak equipment overnight in solution; rinse the following morning - no scrubbing required!
