Fining gelatin is a heat soluble powder that clears beer or wine by causing the particles to coagulate and settle. Composed of high molecular weight mass proteins that carry a big positive charge. Can be prepared by mixing in warm water and adding during transfer or pump-over. Solutions must be maintained at a temperature of 95-104°F (35-40°C) when added.

Usage Directions:
- Use 1/2 tablespoon per 5 gallons of beer
- Dissolve the fining gelatin into 1/4 to 1/2 cup of hot water, then add to beer
- Wait a few days and rack off
- Gelatin can also reduce astringency by removing tannins
