This 5/8" Hose Barb to 1.5" TC Cap is made of strong 304 stainless steel. It is designed to allow the hook up of 1/2" ID tubing to your 1.5" TC connections. Why use this barbed fitting over a 1/2" one? The 5/8" outer diameter fits far tighter resulting in a better flow rate. In order to use this part with a 1.5" TC flange you will need a 1.5" TC gasket and a TC Clamp.
