This sanitary butterfly valve is made from durable 304 stainless steel and features a pull-trigger lock with three adjustable positions for flexible control. Designed for use with 1.5" tri-clover fittings, its compact build makes it an excellent choice for tight spaces where larger valves may not fit. The outward-pulling handle allows for quick unlocking and smooth rotation, ensuring easy and reliable operation.
Butterfly valves are simple to clean in place, with a streamlined design that prevents debris buildup by eliminating hidden pockets. Compared to tri-clover-compatible ball valves, butterfly valves are lighter and take up less space, making them ideal for efficient system layouts.
While butterfly valves are best suited for quick on-off control, ball valves offer finer flow regulation. For that reason, we recommend butterfly valves for fermenters and vessel outlets, and ball valves for pump outlets and returns, such as mash tun sparge or vorlauf lines.
