This Sanitary Butterfly Valve is constructed from durable 304 stainless steel, and features a pull-trigger lock with three adjustable positions. Designed for use with 2" tri-clover hardware, its compact design makes it an ideal choice for tight spaces. The valve's handle pulls outward for easy unlocking and rotation, ensuring smooth operation.
Butterfly valves are easy to clean in place, as their design eliminates pockets where dirt can accumulate. They are also lighter and more space-efficient compared to tri-clover-compatible ball valves.
While butterfly valves excel at on-off functionality, ball valves provide better control over flow rates. We recommend butterfly valves for vessel outlets and fermenters, while ball valves are better suited for pump outlets and vessel returns, such as mash tun sparge and vorlauf returns.
