The Ss Brewtech 20 Gallon InfuSsion Mash Tun is specifically designed for infusion mashing. Infusion mashing is a method wherein measured amounts of heated water are slowly added to achieve the desired temperature for a specific duration. To maintain a consistent hot temperature, the mash tun is equipped with an insulated body.
Ss Brewing Technologies' Mash Tuns are ideal for brewers who perform infusion mashing using insulated plastic coolers and are seeking high-performance equipment specifically built for brewing. Through comparison testing, the 20-gallon InfuSsion Mash Tun demonstrated a temperature decay that was 5 degrees Fahrenheit less than a similarly sized plastic cooler over a 60-minute mash. Additionally, these Mash Tuns are designed with a concave recess under the false bottom, featuring a centrally located drain connected to a 1/2" ball valve. This unique drainage setup offers better uniformity and efficiency throughout the grain bed compared to traditional plastic cooler systems.
The new version of the InfuSsion Mash Tun now includes 1.5" TC ports, allowing for seamless integration with other Ss Brewtech hardware. The tri-clover hardware not only enables a fully sanitary brewing environment but also makes the equipment easy to clean. Instead of the traditional ball valve, this Mash Tun is equipped with Ss Brewtech's innovative Pure Flow Valve, which offers micro-adjustability and stands as the ultimate brewing valve. The valve's foundation lies in the removable silicone membrane that seamlessly integrates TC gaskets, ensuring a 100% sanitary environment with no contact between the beer and any materials except the silicone valve lining.
