A high-quality immersion chiller made with 25 feet of 3/8" OD stainless steel tubing, proudly manufactured in Canada. Unlike most 3/8" chillers, this exquisite unit features lower and wider coils. Its outstanding design allows for the rapid chilling of five gallons of hot wort in just ten minutes, making it suitable for larger batches as well.
Whether you're brewing with extract or all-grain, quickly lowering the wort's temperature to pitch the yeast is a critical step in homebrewing. Fast cooling significantly reduces the risk of beer contamination by wild yeasts and bacteria, while also minimizing the levels of DMS (dimethyl sulfide) that can negatively impact the beer's aroma. Additionally, swift chilling enhances the clarity of the final product. With the garden hose adapters directly attached to the wort chiller, you have the convenience of easily connecting any desired hose, providing you with more options and flexibility.
This version of our immersion wort chiller boasts an extra wide design, featuring a 10" coil diameter.
Using an immersion chiller eliminates the need for transferring the wort to different containers or diluting it with cold water. Simply insert the immersion chiller into the brew pot. For optimal hygiene, ensure it is visibly clean and submerge the coil portion into the wort during the last 15 minutes of the boil. This effectively kills any wild yeasts or unsanitary contaminants that may be present. Once the brew pot is removed from the heat, you can immediately initiate the cooling process by connecting the hose and turning on the water.
