This blend includes two monastery-types strains and one general Belgian ale strain, which in conjunction deliver an excellent set of properties that makes WLP575 suitable for making a lot of different beers in the general Belgian category.
|Description||WLP575 Belgian Ale Yeast Blend is a very good attenuator with some reports indicating values of up to 85%, resulting in crisp and dry beers even when dealing with high gravity worts.
High alcohol tolerance makes the blend suitable for making all kinds of strong ales, whereas the complex interplay of spicy phenols and fruity esters imbues the beer with a very intense yet balance flavour profile.
WLP575 is an excellent choice for making beers that require a general Belgian feel to them as it takes the best traits of its constituent strains and provides the right set of properties for making Abbey Dubbels, Tripels, and Quadrupels, Saisons, Golden and Dark Strong Ales, as well as Witbiers, and Biere de Garde.
