WLP060 - American Ale Yeast Blend
WLP060 American Yeast Blend is characterized by high attenuation and high alcohol tolerance, which makes it a great yeast for making crisp and refreshing beers even when reaching high original gravities. With slight sulphur character, this blend creates beers that sometimes taste more like lagers with their clean and accentuated flavour profile. When applied in either malt-forward or hop-forward beers, WLP060 adds a layer of complexity that is rarely obtained with single strains, so it’s definitely a good pick for special brews and experimental recipes.

WLP060 employs the super versatile Chico strain as the base, while also adding two other strains from the same general category of neutral yeast, delivering as a result a very interesting and lager-like flavour profile. This blend is extremely versatile in its possible applications, since it helps to accentuate both malt and hop flavours, providing them with the necessary backbone to make excellent beers in a range spanning from Double IPAs to Imperial Stouts and everything in between.|
