Lime peel is often used to accent flavours of beer, foods, and other beverages. The peel of limes is usually sweeter than lemons and limes are valued both for the acidity of their juice and floral aroma of its zest. Mostly found in Wheat Ales and Belgian style beers.

When used properly can enhance the the aroma and give an intense citrus flavour.
