Caramunich III can be used in light beers for body and flavour enhancement at up to 5% of the grain bill, while dark beers can use up to 10% for a more pronounced effect.
Description: | The darkest of the Munich-like caramel malts produced by Weyermann, Caramunich type III is an excellent choice for brewing darker malt-forward beers with character. This caramel malt has been roasted to the a high degree, which adds a dark copper colour to the wort and delivers a very pronounced malty flavour with hints of toffee, biscuit and raisins that is generally similar to that of Munich base malt, only amplified. |
