Usage: Aroma

This a new variety of German hop with an inviting variety of aromas. They include floral and fruity, pineapple, grapefruit, lemongrass, grape and passionfruit.
Description: For when you want to add an interesting twist to an IPA or Wheat Beer, Hallertau Blanc will always provide a surprising mix of flavours to enjoy. Derived from Cascade variety by the Hop Research Institute in Hull, Germany, this hop was launched commercially in 2012 and has rapidly become one of the most popular European varieties on the market. And it’s not surprising, since Hallertau Blanc boasts a mix of such amazing flavours as gooseberry, elderflower, grapes, grapefruit and lemongrass.

Commonly compared to New Zealand’s famous Nelson Sauvin, this German variety imparts an aromatic character that is quite close to Sauvignon Blanc wine. And if this doesn’t make you want to try it out in your next brew, we don’t know what will.
