Sodium Campden Tablets offer various applications you will surely find beneficial for brewing and bottling. These tablets contain Sodium Metabisulphite, which is in many ways similar to Potassium Metabisulphite also found in the form of Campden Tablets and used in brewing, cider, and winemaking.
It is commonly used for reducing the risk of wild yeast and bacterial growth in the wort before pitching yeast, which prevents infections, and respectively undesired flavours in the final product. Use a single tablet per gallon of beverage to stave off any infections and undesired bacterial activity.

In brewing, Sodium Campden Tablets can also be used for eliminating chlorine and chloramine from the brewing water, which can result in unpleasant off-flavours in the finished product. For treating your brewing water use a single tablet per 10 gallons of water before mashing and sparging the grains.
