This 20 Gallon InfuSsion Mash Tun from Ss Brewtech is cannot be used for direct-fire applications. The thick insulated walls and lid make this mash tun ideal for infusion mashing, as it can maintain a hot temperature for a specific amount of time.
There is a concave recess under the false bottom with a center located drain that plumbs out to a 1/2" Stainless Steel 3 piece ball valve. Many experienced home brewers choose this stainless steel mash tun over a plastic cooler due to its superior heat loss capabilities.
PLEASE NOTE: These cannot be used in direct-fire applications. Do not use over a burner.
